About US
Growing up in New York City, going out for Chinese food wasn't just dinner, it was an event.
Before anyone even looked at the menu, a big bowl of crispy wonton noodles would hit the table alongside that little dish of sweet, tangy duck sauce. And just like that... chaos.
Everyone reached for the noodles. Dad grabbed a handful. My sister stole the last one. Someone always double-dipped the duck sauce. We nearly put the place out of business asking for more.
Looking back, those crispy little wontons were the real star of the meal.
Fast forward a few decades.
I'm at a fancy restaurant eating tuna tartare served with crispy wonton strips. One bite and it hit me: Why aren't these a snack?
What if those irresistible wontons came in the familiar shape of a tortilla chip? Perfect for scooping salsa, guacamole, queso, hummus, and of course duck sauce. Strong enough to hold your favorite toppings. Light enough to keep reaching for "just one more." And every bit as satisfying straight out of the bag.
So I decided to make them.
Tontilla is what happens when a New York kid grows up, remembers the best part of Chinese dinner, and gives it a crunchy new life.
The nostalgia of a crispy wonton. The familiar shape of a tortilla chip. A snack that's made for dipping, scooping, sharing - or quietly finishing yourself when nobody's looking.
We hope every bag brings back a little of that magic - the laughter around the table, the race for the first handful, and the simple joy of sharing something impossibly crispy with the people you love.
Just try not to eat the whole bag before dinner is served.
